Category Description

This category is based on the 3-year basic degree program of a confectioner/pastry cook. Of the optional vocational studies, the emphasis in this category is on the baking of layer cakes and pastries, and the baking of special products. A confectioner/pastry cook bakes bread, pastries, cakes and all kinds of products according to the customers' wishes. Making basic products and developing new ones is also a part of the tasks of a confectioner/pastry cook. The competition tasks in the category of confectionery are comprised of tasks given in advance and tasks given at the competition venue. All products will be made at the venue.
